For parents of geeklings, this is a fantastic list the GeekDad contributors put together of books parents should read to their kids. Going through the list, some are obvious, some are new to me, and some I had completely forgotten about until I saw the title. I see a new list being created in the very near future…

One series that's missing that jumped right out at me: the Tripods series by John Christopher. Alien attack? Check! Kids fightin' back against said aliens? Check! Thinly veiled references to the suffocated effect of societal mores? Check!
