Rush isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? For shame. Wired did a great write up a while back as to why geeks should be especially supportive of the band. My favorite (probably) is #5:"They are big fans of science fiction and fantasy: Their songs include “Rivendell,” “Cygnus X-1,” “The Necromancer” and “By-Tor And The Snow Dog.” What else needs to be said?"Granted, this was, for the most part, during the 1970's when even Led Zeppelin was rockin' LOTR references in their lyrics, and they're hardly examples of rock outcasts.
