Well, we’re done. 15 years in the Dakota Glen house and we’re out for good. This house served the family so well. This is the house that I brought both Grace and Clare home from the hospital and is the only home they knew. This house is the longest place Eve ever lived. This is the house were I worked for 6 different software companies and Danica worked at 2 different health insurance companies. This is the house where we sheltered during the COVID pandemic. This is the house where we’d run downstairs on Christmas morning and video the kids coming down to see what Santa left them. This is the house were we had many great parties with great friends that will be last in our memories forever. This is the house where we had fantastic Independence Day BBQs and parades with our neighbors. This is the house where D’Argo had his first day with us, as well as his last. This is the house where we brought back Tigli from her first home.
This house. This home. May it serve the next family as well as it did mine.
