Before I started working at McAfee and having to fly to India on occasionally, I was getting into the good habit of giving a pint of blood to the Red Cross every few months. My Grandpa set a fantastic example for this, giving many, many gallons of blood over his lifetime. One day, probably in about 2017, I went in and filled out the form, and was dismayed to find that if you’d been in India any time in the past 12 months you were ineligible.
Well, thanks to freaking COVID, I can donate again! Not than anyone asked, but the phlebotomist told me that I was average in speed: just over 6 minutes for the pint to be extracted.
